Cabaret Performance Workshop at Levine Music with Cabaret Performer, Musical Director, and Director Joey Clark Mondays, 7:00-8:30pm, Sept 8-Nov 17 (Levine NW Campus - Van Ness) In this cabaret technique and performance workshop, we'll be crafting personal stories from our lives into SOLO musical performances. Coaching will be given in storytelling, vocal repertoire selection, singing and microphone technique, and audience interaction. Classes include group sessions as well as one-on-one instruction. The 10-week workshop culminates in an evening of intimate, cabaret-style performance. This class is a "meet each student where you are at" kind of class. You will be working on creating solo sets. If you have material you want to work and receive feedback on and then try out in front of a live audience - this is your opportunity. This class is especially good for people getting their feet wet in cabaret or feeling rusty because it's been a while or just looking to be held accountable and motivate yourself to work on something you've held in the back of your head for years! Eurythmics: Harmonious bodily movement as a form of artistic expression used to train musicians, actors, and dancers. Join Joey Clark for a 10-week physical exploration of music.
