Dr. Deborah Thurlow, voice professor at Washington Adventist University, joins Encore University’s Masterclass series for a deep dive into the emotion and creative expression that drives emotional and memorable performances. This class will teach you how to channel emotion into your performances by characterizing the lyrics and language behind them. Using the 5 W’s method (Who, What, When, Where, and Why), you will learn how to characterize a piece, conceptualize its meaning, and bring out its deepest emotions for all to hear.
