Coming Soon to Encore

This is an exciting time in the life of Encore Creativity for Older Adults as we welcome new singers and programs! We're thrilled to announce a few new programs starting in the fall and a few updates. All these registrations will be available in July. Help us spread the word!

Encore Chorale of Santa Clarita

This wonderful group of singers started by Roberta Kessler was one of our affiliate choirs. Over the last few months, we have taken the journey of them becoming an official Chorale and our first program on the west coast! We welcome these 32 singers to our family and are excited about building this Chorale as a catalyst for programs in California. This group will rehearse every Friday 4-6 p.m. beginning in September.

Encore Chorale of Redmond

Dr. Natalie Lerch will be our conductor at this brand-new chorale in Redmond, Washington—a beautiful town in the Seattle metropolitan area. Rehearsals will be every Thursday 2-3:30 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Cross beginning in September.

Sentimental Journey Singers

This new program in partnership with the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities will be free for singers who would like to participate along with care partners. Rehearsals will be at Pascal Senior Center in Glen Burnie, Maryland on Tuesdays from 1-2:30 p.m. starting in September.

Encore Chorale of Brooklyn Park

In partnership with Chesapeake Arts Center This exciting new partnership brings a new Chorale with easy access from many major cities in Maryland in a beautiful space at the Chesapeake Arts Center. We’re grateful for their partnership in providing space, marketing support, and being a cheerleader for our work! Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. starting in September!

Melody Makers

In partnership with Goodwin House This partnership fully funded by the Goodwin House is a pilot program to create a music and choral experience for those dealing with mid to late stages of dementia or cognitive impairment. This collaboration between Encore and the Goodwin House brain health and music therapy teams will result in new programs in the coming months. This is another step in our commitment and dedication to music for life. More details coming soon on how to participate in the fall.
