langWe welcome you to join the Encore Chorale of Reston, for singers 55+, under the direction of David Lang, conductor of the well-known Reston Chorale. David is assisted by Chorale Master Lee Lipsey.  If you have ever sat in the audience enjoying a performance of the Reston Chorale conducted by David Lang and thought how wonderful it would be to sing in a chorale under his direction, now is your chance. There are no auditions for the Encore Chorale of Reston, singers may be seated for rehearsals and performances, and rehearsals are held during daylight hours.

Encore Chorale attracts singers who have sung their entire life, singers who have not sung in 20, 30 or 40 years, and some who are exploring choral music for the first time. After 15 weeks of rehearsal, all of our Encore Chorales perform free concerts for friends, family and the community, at large, high profile venues. Baltimore/Washington/Northern Virginia chorales will perform more than a dozen community concerts  at the conclusion of each semester. The highlight of the holiday season has been the December concert at the Kennedy Center featuring more than 200 Encore singers on the Millennium Stage.
