On May 13, 2017, over 700 Encore singers took to the stage at Washington, DC's DAR Constitution Hall, celebrating Encore's Tenth Anniversary and the accomplishments of Encore's Founder Jeanne Kelly.  Jeanne and Associate Artistic Director Jeffrey Dokken led first the Encore ROCKS singers, then Encore Chorale in a most memorable two hours of music.  Encore's Executive Director, Mary Spencer, delivered opening remarks and introduced emcee Jed Duvall, a former Encore board member and retired national television news correspondent.

Other concert speakers included Martha Boudreau, Vice President of Marketing and Development for AARP, a presenting sponsor of the concert, and Wendy Miller, wife of the late Dr. Gene Cohen. Jeanne Kelly led a segment of Cohen’s landmark Creativity and Aging Study that led Kelly to start Encore. Miller said Cohen would have been inspired by what had been accomplished by Jeanne and Encore – as was everyone in attendance.

The video of the performance is presented in two parts. Video below includes opening remarks and the ROCKS performance. Click HERE to see the Encore Chorale performance.
