Kick off your holiday season by traveling with Encore!!!

You asked for it! You got it!

homestead1We invite all interested Encore singers to join us for one of our repeat travel programs! Last year, our first weekend trip was a huge success with 90 singers joining us at the Omni Homestead Resort. Our trip included wonderful rehearsals, a performance for hotel guests and even a flash mob during high tea! This December we are returning to the Homestead to enjoy the gorgeous holiday decorations in this historic resort. We need to hear from singers in order to confirm with the resort and contract the appropriate number of rooms with the hotel. They will only block rooms that we can guarantee. Please don't delay in letting us know of your interest. Email the Encore Office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to add your name to the list. You will be contacted separately with additional trip details.

A three-day musical retreat at the gorgeous in Omni Homestead Resort, Hot Springs, Virginia

December 1 - 3, 2017

This will be Encore's second weekend getaway!

The historic and grand Omni Homestead Resort is celebrating their 250th anniversary and Encore is celebrating our 10th anniversary!!!!! So, it is fitting that we visit the Homestead once again for a grand weekend of fabulous song, food, drink, lodging and friends. Many of our singers are still dreaming of the over-the-top breakfast experience each morning! And, we hear that the holiday decorations are simply stunning!

We will stay in beautiful rooms, enjoy scrumptious meals, and participate in Encore Chorale rehearsals and vocal technique classes. Jeanne Kelly will keep you amused and singing beautifully! Bus transportation will be offered for those who are interested.

We will leave Friday, December 1st at 8am and arrive at noon for lunch on your own. After lunch we will work musically for about three hours and then enjoy lots of fun. You can relax in the hot springs of the hotel or enjoy their wonderful indoor pool! The meals will be fabulous and the socializing will be marvelous.

Saturday, we will work musically from 10am to noon and in the afternoon, you can enjoy the hotel and all it must offer. And, we have been invited to perform for Homestead guests once again. Sunday, we will enjoy the resort before leaving at lunchtime. We will arrive back in DC at about 6:30pm.

Spouses, partners, and guests are warmly welcomed.homestead2

As of September 2017, Encore has fifteen Chorale locations in the DC/VA/MD area, as well as six Encore ROCKS locations. Additionally, Encore continues to expand across the nation, with Affiliate Chorales at Laurel Lake Retirement Community in Hudson, OH; Reading, PA;  Littleton and Highlands Ranch, CO; Santa Clarita, CA; and six Encore Chorales and two Encore ROCKS in the Chicago area. With over 1,200 singers, we believe we are the largest choral organization in the U.S.!

If you have sung sometime in your life, want to return to singing, or have never sung outside the shower, join our other music enthusiasts for weekly instructional class/rehearsals with our seasoned and professional conductors.

The Chorale classes, designed for adults 55 years and above, are educational as well as enjoyable. Participants learn proper breathing techniques and how to improve their voice through correct tone production as their conductor guides them through weekly rehearsals in three- and four-part singing. The season concludes with combined performances with other Chorales as well as local concerts at most Chorale locations.

Be a part of a true harmonic convergence-if you can talk, you can sing!
