Jake, 92, and Sylvia, 89, are all excited about their decision to get married. They go for a stroll to discuss the wedding and on the way they pass a drugstore. Jake suggests they go in. Jake addresses the man behind the counter: “Are you the owner?” The pharmacist answers “Yes”. Jake: “We’re about to get married. Do you sell heart medication?” Pharmacist: “Of course we do.” Jake: “How about medicine for circulation?” Pharmacist: “All kinds.” Jake: “Medicine for rheumatism, scoliosis? ” Pharmacist: “Definitely.” Jake: “How about Viagra?” Pharmacist: “Of course.” Jake: “Medicine for memory problems, arthritis, jaundice?” Pharmacist: “Yes, a large variety. The works.” Jake: “What about vitamins, sleeping pills, Geritol, antidotes for Parkinson’s disease?” Pharmacist: “Absolutely.” Jake: “You sell wheelchairs and walkers?” Pharmacist: “All speeds and sizes.” Finally satisfied, Jake says to the pharmacist: “OK, we’d like to use this store as our Bridal Registry.”
Anne Arundel Community College
Established in the Fall of 2009, The Anne Arundel Community College Encore Chorale returns for its second year.
The Chorale rehearses on MONDAYS (NOTE DAY CHANGE), 2:00-3:30pm beginning September 13th, 2010. Registration through AACC begins June 1, 2010. Call the college at 410-777-2325 or visit AACC Life Stages to register.

The Encore Chorales of Anne Arundel Community College, Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center, and the Myerberg Senior Center came together to fill the stage of the Robert Pascal Performing Arts Center at Anne Arundel Community College on Thursday, May 20, 2010. Joining the performance was the Maryland Express Barbershop Quartet. Maryland's Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Edward Chow, Jr., extended greetings from the Governor of Maryland, Martin O'Malley, and briefly discussed benefits available to Maryland veterans. Dr. Terry Portis, Director of AACC's Center on Aging, welcomed Encore and the audience to the AACC campus. To view a photo album of the concert, click on the picture below.
