"Quote - Unquote"
A man's age is something impressive, it sums up his life: maturity reached slowly and against many obstacles, illnesses cured, griefs and despairs overcome, and unconscious risks taken; maturity formed through so many desires, hopes, regrets, forgotten things, loves. A man's age represents a fine cargo of experiences and memories.
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

If you have sung sometime in your life, want to return to singing, or have never sung outside the shower, join other music enthusiasts for a weekly rehearsal of seasonal and holiday music with professional conductor Jeanne Kelly. The class, designed for adults 55 years and above is instructive as well as enjoyable. Learn proper breathing techniques and how to improve your voice through tone production as Kelly guides participants through weekly rehearsals in three- and four-part singing. The season will conclude with a performance with other Encore Chorales at locations in the DC area, as well as a local concert at the Potomac Academy of George Mason University. Be a part of a true harmonic convergence-if you can talk, you can sing! Jeanne Kelly's career of over thirty-five years has produced a unique blend of experience as a vocal performer, teacher, conductor and music administrator. Ms. Kelly had a successful operatic career; taught voice privately and at Hood College and the U.S. Naval Academy; conducted choral groups at the U.S. Naval Academy and Georgetown University, and was Executive Director of the Houston Conservatory of Music and the Levine School of Music, Northern Virginia Campus.
